Ogbonna has been toilet this season, simple as that.

Ogbonna is a cracking defender.

Ogbonna was in the Italian squad, you say?

And so was Zaza!

Well Conte had Ogbonna in his Euro 2016 squad and he has been in subsequent WC qualification squads. To me that is an indication that coaches think a lot of him.

"I said all along that Ogbonna was a bit susoect and not one owrsin on here agreed."

Not sure about the susoect and owrsin but I was roundly criticised for suggesting that his You Tube showed a lot of bad defending. Juventus (was it?) fans were glad to see him go and they couldn't believe we were daft enough to pay £10m for him but all that was before I'd seen him in games.

I've since been impressed by a lot of his play but he does have some serious faults that need sorting. He definitely needs to tighten up at the back and not turn his back and bend over so far when facing the shooter...

"Brand Premier League" has the media firmly in it's pocket, and "Brand Premier League" is the traditional "Big 5", no matter what happens. Any deviation must be, at best, discouraged, and, at worst, stamped right out.

For a long time I've felt the bigger club's prominence in the media has very little to do with success and much more to do with exchanges of grace & favour that, although significant, are sly enough to remain unlabled as bribes or the sporting equivalent of Payola.

Maybe none of these big clubs offer the journalists the option of own-brand mayonnaise on their complementary wine & prawn sandwiches...

Liverpool should have put us to bed and out of sight, and the media love liverpool so not sure why people are surprised? However Redknapp and Carragher praised our performances.

Then again, who gives a fuck what anyone else thinks?

In my opinion we should have taken the three points. and feel it's two points lost.

That's exactly right on Ogbonna - he's ball watcher.

I have my doubts about him.

What is it about West Ham and Italian rejects? The papers are full of it that we are going to pounce on MANOLO GABBIADINI!

He's about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

We were dogshit for the first 20 minutes, we got better as the game went on, but whilst before the game we would have taken a 2-2 draw but the nature in which is came about makes it feel as if we've dropped a bollock here.

Randolph should have been more aware of the people around him , and can't help but think he didn't get a call from Cresswell. Piss poor all round.

We really need to stop these school boy mistakes, it would be interesting to see how many points we've dropped because of stupid individual errors, Anyone know?

Today there is to much of an emphasis, by the media, on Liverpool's mistakes in yesterday's game. Klopp mentions it too and it is as if anyone would have beaten them and no credit goes to WHU.

Sour grapes and let's make sure we beat them when they come to the OS.

wonder is Sadio Mane will get a ban for his sly dig on Carroll??

a lesser man would have rolled around and got Mane sent off.

Private Dancer,I could of sworn they got a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford where Heaton played a blunder.

just for clarity I don't care about his orientation, I care about his commitment. no professional player should be shirking when the ball might hit him.

Another battling performance like yesterday at the back is needed and we should have enough to break Burnley down going forward. I would go with Carroll and Antonio up.front, yesterday it was blatantly obvious Carroll needed someone running off him as he wss winning every ball in the air.
Antonio would be great at that imo.

I think Ogbonna is a "bit of a pansy" but it doesn't matter as long as he concentrates. Unfortunately, his concentration does drop, he doesn't get tight enough and turns his back as you say.

What I find annoying are his many faults. He has played at international level but is a ball-watcher which should have been knocked out of him at schoolboy level.

What I mean is when the ball is pinging around our area he stands and watches rather than looking to see who he should be marking and where he could cover others.

Brilliant in the air and going forward on the ball. I guess that he's a bit of a poseur which kind of suggests he might well be gay and a bit pansyish. He certainly has that look about him which might explain why we got him fairly cheap for an Italian international.

Spot on. Great result against Liverpool but anyone thinking the Burnley game will be harder is talking shit. We have now set up the foundation to get ourselves up the league and Burnley is an absolute winnable game. Yes, they will be disciplined and sit and hold and make it hard but they are rubbish away from home. If they beat us we deserve to go down.
